WELCOME to the Sacramento Valley Shetland Sheepdog Club Website. If you own, want to own or just love Shelties in the Sacramento region, this is the place to be. 

We are an active club that hosts conformation/obedience shows, rally, agility and herding trials. We are involved in lots of fun events and activities including the Scottish Games, the Davis Picnic, our annual Sheltie Picnic, and breed rescue. 

The Sacramento Valley Shetland Sheepdog Club (SVSSC) was established to host AKC Specialty Shows and to promote, educate, and preserve the quality of the Shetland Sheepdog for those who care about and are interested in the breed.  SVSSC is an American Shetland Sheepdog Association (ASSA) member club.

The Sheltie is an intelligent, fun-loving, active dog capable of learning to perform in Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Herding, Flyball, Tracking and in Freestyle. SVSSC holds workshops to help assist in the training and educating sheltie owners and lovers.
